The solar road stud is part of the Intelligent Crossroway System. Some places are also known as “smart zebra lines” and “diverse zebra lines” to solve the problems of people and cars on zebra lines.
The first attempt at this technology was by the Yichang traffic police. They combine thermal imaging technology with ground-based solar road studs. When no pedestrians pass by, two rows of solar road studs on the ground do not react. When the vehicle passes smoothly at normal speed, once the probe detects pedestrians on the road, the smart solar road studs on one side flash automatically, just as you say hello. At the tip of the smart solar road studs, the vehicle slows down or even stops to give way to pedestrians.
Shenzhen traffic police’s first use is “wireless synchronous solar road studs”, it has the following advantages:
(1) The construction is convenient and there is no need to repair the road. Just drill a few holes. The damage to the asphalt layer of the road surface is minimal.
(2) The product to achieve wireless control flashing synchronization, do not need to connect with each other, and control box control, belong to the “fool” type of operation mode. The simplest is the most reliable, which is our consistent design philosophy.
However, in the implementation encountered another problem, the brightness of the product is not enough! It turned out that the streetlights in the city were too bright. NOKIN Traffic has been exported for many years. NOKIN solar road studs have been widely used in Russia and Europe. They don’t have a “not bright enough” problem from customers because all European cities are not as good as the streets of Chinese cities.
To solve this problem, we used electric buried LED solar road studs. The wired solar road studs have the advantage of being powered by a 220 V AC power supply. The working current of the LED can be increased and the brightness of the product can be guaranteed. The disadvantage of buried intelligent solar road studs is that the sidewalk must be slotted, the project is complex and the cost is high. After installation, the product’s night scene effect has been the Shenzhen traffic police praise. Now, Shenzhen residents can cross the road more safely.
